Frequently Asked Questions
About Vitamins
-
WHY ARE VITAMINS SO IMPORTANT? WHY
SHOULD I TAKE THEM?
Vitamins are essential to life! Vitamin and mineral
nutrients are involved in all body processes, from combating infection
to repairing tissue to thinking. Nutritional supplements help promote
overall health and well-being, minimize the effects of aging by making
you look and feel better, strengthen the immune system and encourage
the body's natural capacity to heal itself. They are also essential
in treating and preventing a multitude of diseases.
-
CAN I GET ALL THE VITAMINS AND MINERALS
I NEED IN THE FOOD I EAT?
NO! Processing and Cooking virtually destroys all
the nutritional value of food. Even fresh fruits and vegetables do
not contain the nutritional value they once did. Soils have become
nutritionally depleted. Junk foods which contain high amounts of salt,
sugar, and fats actually deplete vitamin and mineral reserves in your
body. Carbonated sodas contain high amounts of phosphorous which will
rob the calcium from your bones. Coffee will deplete the body of Vitamin
B1, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, inositol, potassium, magnesium, zinc, iron,
calcium, and trace minerals. Alcoholic beverages will destroy Vitamin
B1, Vitamin B12, folic acid, and Vitamin C.
-
IS A TYPICAL MULTI-VITAMIN WITH 100%
OF THE RDAs SUFFICIENT?
NO! Most, if not all, one-a-day type tablets you
find at the grocery store and drug store do not contain enough potency
to have any significant effect on the body. The recommended daily
allowance (RDA) was instituted over 50 years ago by the U.S. Food
and Nutrition Board to determine the minimum potency of vitamins necessary
to prevent disease and /or death. The U.S. Food and Nutrition Board
did not take into account what potency level of vitamins is needed
to maintain optimal health rather than border-line health. They also
did not take into account a person's metabolism, their age, eating
habits, sex, their general health, medications taken, lifestyle, occupation,
climate or environment in which they live. All of these factors affect
a person's daily nutritional requirements. The RDA is now termed RDI
(intake.) NOTE: The RDI has not been thoroughly updated for over 25
years.
-
WHY ARE THERE SO MANY TABLETS IN
YOUR VITAMIN PACKETS?
100% Natural Food Source Vitamins are like super concentrated food.
It is impossible to get all of the Natural nutrients in one tablet,
therefore we put each group of nutrients in a separate tablet and/or
capsule. In addition to the vitamins, we add other important nutrients,
such as herbs, amino acids, bee pollen, etc. to our packets to make
them more effective. Herbs contain powerful stimulating nutrients
which have been used for thousands of years as a safe and effective
means of achieving optimal health.
-
SHOULD I TAKE VITAMINS EVERYDAY OR
JUST A FEW TIMES A WEEK?
EVERYDAY! To feel your best, you should get in the
habit of taking one packet daily with a meal, preferably your largest
meal. The entire packet should be taken at one sitting, with food,
where the vitamin tablets will mix with the food in your stomach.
Your body will think that the vitamin enriched food was grown in the
richest soil under ideal conditions!
